About a month ago, I was taking photos of the "Meet in the Street" that was happening downtown, and decided to go off of the beaten path a bit. It was not the first time that I walked down this street, but it was the first time that I saw this fantastic spot. It wasn't open at that moment, so of course I made a mental note to return soon so that I could check it out!
Cassandra Allen-Brown owns the Yarn Shoppe. (instagram yarnshoppe_denver) Nestled in the heart of downtown Denver, this neat space holds a wonderful mix of yarn, as well as a lovely, intimate space for yarn classes, and the most amazing vintage handbags that I have ever seen.
Filled with various fibers and knitting ideas, I look forward to returning and learning the craft.
The wonderful Cassandra Allen-Brown, owner.
The yarn display, which is near the charming space for where the classes are taught, and quite the ideal space for knitting with a friend.
I went wild for the handbag collection!! Swoon!!
I'm not kidding, you have to see the handbag collection.. you're in for a real treat.
After the love-at-first-sight moment with the handbags, I asked Cassandra if the handbags were locally made. She informed me that her husband, Fafa, travels the world to get the handbags.
Originally he traveled the world and brought back amazing bags specifically for her, and at some point he asked her if she thought others would enjoy the handbags. The answer was yes. :)
Please check out her website (www.yarnshoppestudio.com) Also head over to yarnalongtherockies.com 9 days, 18 local yarn shops, quite a fun concept. August 20-28.
