Being someone that sees art in nearly everything, any given day finds me taking from 1 to 100 photos.
A few weeks ago, I captured the photo above and could not wait to develop it. I will be doing a matte border around it soon. I was actually so inspired by the image that I could not wait until it was complete.. I had to develop and frame it. STAT. Seriously. The print both inspires and soothes me.
Having such a passion behind images you capture offers a religious experience time and time again. I'd really have no part of the walls in the loft visible, because the urge to see that which captured my attention, mind, and heart would be on full display. Narrowing it down to favorites is never easy.
Although I have not added the matte border, I am so in love with this image.
The way that the sun was shinning onto the leaves here took my breath away.
I've placed the image high, and front row center in the main area of the loft. It offers a natural breath of fresh air throu...
It has something to do with the decorations on the vanilla candle pictured here.
Yep, that's right (even if you weren't trying to guess!) I took a pressed flower decorating course.
Approximately every two months, members of the Denver Botanic Gardens receive a guide discussing upcoming art that will be featured in the garden, courses, and events. After taking up space on the kitchen table for about a month, I finally dedicated an afternoon to thumbing through the pages and marking the dates of events that were of interest to me on my calendar.
I set this particular course date to notify me two days beforehand. I shrieked with delight because I'd forgotten about it, and asked my husband if he minded joining me. Although not his cup of tea at all.. he did.. but took his iPad and did not participate at all. :)
There were about 15 of us in the class, and each lady was possibly more stoked than the other about being there. Two course instructors g...

About three years ago, I made a decision to create a skincare product that had the purpose of offering a heated stone therapy that people could enjoy in their home, or a weekend getaway.. When getting to the spa w...
Well, well, well. The picture below features the closet of a busy girl that crams her clothes into the closet, a myriad of rainbow colored hangers, and outfits lost in the shuffle, aka not seen from season to season, as they've literally been lost in lack-of-organization.
There's a vest in there that I did not wear at all last fall.. because I could never find it.
Ohhh, look who got around to color coordinating the clothes! Two thumbs up, (if I do say so myself!)
This neutral loving girl indeed has an overabundance of grey and black in the closet. Trust me, I'm not complaining.
I spent this past Sunday afternoon color coordinating the closet, and removing about 30 pieces that I no longer wear, but that would be wonderful to share with others, and that's what I did on Monday. :)
I did not get a shot of the closet from a distance, because I want all of the hangers to be wooden, and unfortunately fell short of having enough. Once I receive my order of the hangers, I'll be completely pleased...
Having your own skincare line is wonderful. Being ahead of the trend, constant stock of your favorite items, and the joy of creating products that can increase ones self esteem and overall quality of life brings a sense of fulfillment that you would not believe.
Over the years, I had to get to a point where I realized it was okay to still love some of the products that originally caught my eye as a 14 year old.. the products within the folded over Harpers Bazaar pages, the alluring containers that they were in, and the overall way that each product made me feel.
For the last 10 years, I've made a stop to Sephora the month of my birthday to pick-up my awesome little gift, which this year is the Marc Jacobs lip and eyeliner set. In this regard, some things never change.
The bag sits around the loft for days, so that I can admire it from time to time, and I relive the repeated emotion of being thrilled that inside of that bag a cute, fun, and girly item exists for my sheer delight and excit...
Like so many of us, my life is crazy busy.. and even if I'm not going out to a restaurant to dine, I still love to have mouthwatering meals, preferably without using the whole day to make them. Lol.
Shrimp has been the seafood of the moment around these parts. Seriously, I've been wanting it everyday for some reason, so I made a stop at the local market and bought a pound and a half of shrimp, and let my creative juices flow.
Rock Salt Cracked Pepper Shrimp
a pound and a half of shrimp (shell off)
one half cup cracked pepper
two tsp rock salt
one half cup basil leaves
one lemon half
two tsp olive oil
On a medium low setting, warm olive oil. After 2 minutes of warming oil, add rock salt and basil leaves, heating all together for about 5 minutes. Next, squeeze the lemon into the oil blend, adding cracked pepper and shrimp last.
Sautè together (still on medium low setting) for 8 to 10 minutes.
For the vlog this week, I spoke of going on the hunt for a new boutique. However, I've chosen to write about a favorite bookstore of mine and its meaning.. beyond the books, stationary, and beverages.
I discovered City Stacks while on one of my morning strolls in the city about two years ago. A lover of an awesome read, I was beyond thrilled to find this new bookstore, and the staff.. so sweet, so knowledgeable, so personable.
I fell in love instantly, and could not wait to bring my husband in to see my new favorite place. Since that morning, I've been in a number of times. Be it in search of a new book, just stopping by for a magazine and a beverage, or simply to say hello to the wonderful owners, each visit was a delight.
My last purchase from City Stacks, #GIRLBOSS.
The last beverage my husband and I bought from the bookstore, 7 Spice Root Beer.
This past week, while checking my emails, I saw something that caused me to do a double take. I was used to receiving emails...
