Last week, a nice little fall type day snuck into the mix, and I was quite pleased to make a nice meal that was fitting for a rainy evening.
The romaine salad I made consists of 10 romaine leaves, cut into medium size pieces, one cup of dried cranberries, one half cup of feta cheese, four tablespoons cracked pepper, and one half cup of rice vinegar, drizzled over the top.
The Rosemary Garlic Pork Roast was so delish, not to mention quick and easy prep-to-table time.
1 pork roast
4 rosemary leaves (separated)
1 1/2 cup minced garlic
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup kosher salt
1 cup honey
Add all contents needed to a large ziploc bag, adding pork roast last. Seal and shake. Place in fridge for twenty minutes.
After twenty minutes, place roast into a small casserole dish, pouring contents in bag (marinade) over the roast. Bake uncovered at 375 for 30 minutes, increasing oven temperature to 400 for an additional ten minutes.
What you'll have in the end is a quick, easy, and...

"bundles of dried herbs"
For five years, I've integrated the use of various herbs into 303 Face | Body Bath Teas, foot soaks, and soaps. Within the last year, custom made herbal tea blends have been added to the House of 303, and although a delicious and wonderful addition, my herbs were beginning to overwhelm the storage area dedicated to them, and a need for neat and proper storage was in 911 mode! :)
The House of 303 Fresh Spearmint and the alluring to the eye Blooming Tea.
Proper cute n' old fashioned labeling system.
Bought these darling mini jars at my favorite craft store.
Found the perfect cart for storing all of the herbal contents also. Just the right size, does not take up much space in the loft.
At last! I'm storing my ever-growing stock of herbs in an easy to reach area, and they're appealing to the eye in their cur...
With overnight temps sneaking down into the forties a few nights ago, I was once again reminded that fall is right around the corner, and my excitement for introducing my newest tea blend for the fall heightened.

About a month ago, I was taking photos of the "Meet in the Street" that was happening downtown, and decided to go off of the beaten path a bit. It was not the first time that I walked down this street, but it was the first time that I saw this fantastic spot. It wasn't open at that moment, so of course I made a mental note to return soon so that I could check it out!
Cassandra Allen-Brown owns the Yarn Shoppe. (instagram yarnshoppe_denver) Nestled in the heart of downtown Denver, this neat space holds a wonderful mix of yarn, as well as a lovely, intimate space for yarn classes, and the most amazing vintage handbags that I have ever seen.
Filled with various fibers and knitting ideas, I look forward to returning and learning the craft.

"a book of selected poems"
synonyms:volume, tome, publication, title;
We learn from them. Grow from them. Get lost in them.
... and decorate with them.
While recently watching one of my guilty, mindless reality television pleasures, I heard one of the people say that decorating with books was the latest thing. I chuckled, figuring it was a slow life week, and they just added something humorous into the show by saying that. A few days later, I saw it on another show.. I scoffed.. and then googled.
This. Is. A. Thing.
I had to make this a blog topic and gently poke fun at it. An avid reader since the time I first learned how to read, I've got books, on top of books. I've lost and cried over books I've lost while moving cross-country. I mean, they're everywhere in the loft. There's a snazzy ottoman nearby, and guess what...
There's countless books in the loft.. and they're often revisited, so they're saved, and can be found around the house in clever fashion. You also have those who buy books for decoration purposes only.. Don't do that. Buy books that are charming and that you're interested in FIRST.. Read them, and then cleverly keep them in your living space, aka decorating with books.
Cute boutique find in the mix this week also, as well as new tea blends and zen photo mugs.
The journey of 303 Face | Body began with a quest for creating skincare with the sole purpose of proper moisturizing for a dry climate. Over the years, studying plant based herbs came into play, and what was once an appreciation of herbs has grown into admiration and respect.
A number of the new products at 303 Face | Body are designed around the natural strengths that herbs offer, including one of my personal favorites, 303 Face | Body Lavandula Nail Humectant.
The term "herbs" refers to plants or parts of them, including grasses, flowers, berries, seeds, leaves, nuts, stems, stalks and roots, which are used for their therapeutic and health- enhancing properties. Generations of skilled herbal practitioners, researchers and scholars have refined and tested the vast science of herbology, producing thousands of plant-based remedies tha...
This summer, I've had a remarkable time visiting the various exhibitions at the Denver Art Museum.
An ongoing theme has been dance, and although the art of dance is fun in its own right, I found after reading the various artists inspiration, I was studying the expressions in their pieces more than their dances. Dance is so often about the way your body moves, yet it is also the way in which we maneuver through life.
The fellows were finding this young ladies moves quite enticing.
There's dance and love here.
A group of ladies at a listening station for rhythm and dance at the museum.
There's music being played. The canine and the children partake in dance, the expressions of others, including the banjo player, express other thoughts.
Native American dance garb.
Drums, oftentimes the key to the beat.
Rhythm and Roots. Other than the act of dance, where do the roots of your dance of life steer you?
I felt such a sense of exhilaration as I walked through two exhibits, one for Native...
